Where We Started

Established in 1983, Showa Trade began as a specialist in the exportation of Japanese used cars to countries all over the world including Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Asia, America and Europe. Our Japanese President and founder of Showa Trade, developed strong relationships with the major used car auction houses giving Showa customers access to their auctions throughout Japan. Showa Trade staff attended auctions, assisted overseas buyers to purchase vehicles and handled all aspects of the export of these vehicles. RESULT: a successful business with in depth experience in the exportation of used cars from Japan.

Where We Are Now

In March 2000 Showa Trade introduced the Showa Trade Internet Auction Service. Today this service enables us to give our customers direct access to 30 weekly auctions across Japan and provides them with full information on over 50,000 vehicles per week. Our experienced staff (which includes English speakers) provides full support to customers throughout the auction process and we continue to provide a complete export service. Result: a truly international company giving customers the benefits of experience, knowledge and technology and allowing them to purchase the best vehicles for their business without having to travel to Japan.
